Community Event: Introduction to Silks

Aerial yoga not only improves your balance but also builds muscle as you hold yourself upright in the hammock using your arms and core. Most people can participate in an aerial workout, ranging from young children to adults in their 80s. If you want to try a different form of yoga, join us for a free introduction to the silks. Apart from being a fun workout, it can improve your strength and balance as well as create a healthier mindset overall.
Participants will be given the opportunity to strap into the bungees for a 15-20 minute workout, rotating through those attending so everyone gets a chance to try. Not sure you want to true? Feel free to come and observe.
The Amputee Center is the only facility in the area currently able to offer this fitness modality. Cat Lang-Bigley will the introductory program.
